Foundation:
The learning center in Qatar, an international educational community, is a private , Non-profit organization founded in 1996 by Qatar Foundation for Education Science and Community Development. It aims at opening new opportunities for a better education and treatment of the students. The center also aims at laying the foundation for self-education that encourages innovation and invention.
Objectives:
• Providing the students with the appropriate educational experiences that enable them to identify, understand, and maximize their academic potentials.
• Providing of specialized services to diagnose and correct the speech and language disorders .
• Raising and spreading the family and community awareness about the concept of learning difficulties.
• Determining, preparation and unification of the educational tests and standards to comply with the needs of the Qatari community.
• Co-operation with the other schools to provide the adequate educational environment for students who have difficulties in learning.
Beneficiary categories :
Students come to the Learning Center for a host of reasons :
• If facing academic difficulties or study retardation .
• If facing speech or language problems.
• If facing difficulties in concentration, learning or organization.
• If interested to study English as a second language .
