Foundation:
It was established in 1995 after Sheikh Eid bin Mohamed Al-Thani allocated 25 Million Qatari Riyals of his wealth to the institution . All administrative costs are covered by the returns from this fund as to pay for aid to the poor without deductions from the overall amount .
Objectives:
• Assisting of the poor and needy inside Qatar , helping patients and providing for their treatment .
• Providing relief for some poor Qatari families through annual aids or monthly payments.
• Contribution towards achieving social solidarity in the country.
• Co-operation and co-ordination with charity associations and committees working in the same field inside and outside Qatar, with objective of aid delivery, and utilizing the available expertise.
• Building of schools , mosques and Quran teaching centers and establishing charity projects , hospitals and health centers where needed .
• Taking care of the poor , orphans and widows particularly where they are subject to destructive ideas, and sponsoring the materially, socially and culturally.
• Collecting donations and grants, and distributing them to the needy.
