The society was established in Doha in 1980 as a non-governmental association concerned with the artistic movement in the country.

Objectives:
The main objective of the society is to look the artistic movement in the state of Qatar , and develop the educational and technical standard of the artists, maintain their output , encourage in other Arab and friendly countries .
