Functions of the Centre:
1. Establishing environment friends groups in various clubs, youth centers, public and private establishments, supporting of those groups and encouraging the youth join them.
2. Guiding and setting up action plans for environment friends groups and following up to keep them in track with the concerned local, regional and international organizations.
3. Utilizing the donations granted by the private sector and the facilities of public corporations in executing environmental projects, and encouraging cooperation with the governmental and non-governmental organizations in order to preserve the constituents of the environment.
4. Promulgating the environmental culture and training of the youth to carry out environmental researches to identify the sources of pollution and their impacts, and to participate with the concerned authorities in field works designed to fight the sources of pollution.
5. Paying particular attention to the role of women in various environmental aspects and stressing on their responsibilities within the family, schools and the society in the relam of religious values and Arabic traditions and customs.
6. Exchanging experience and cooperating with the concerned corporations and organizations in neighbouring  countries in order to benefit from the successful environmental projects executed in such countries.
7. Issuing publications, newsletters and posters with the aim of promulgating environmental awareness and encouraging scientific research and studies.
8. Creating an advanced environmental database and making it accessible for various media and information channels.
