As per the instructions of Her Highness Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser Al Misnad, and due to her strong belief as to the importance of the elderly category, the Qatar elderly persons Welfare Foundation was declared as a private establishment having independent legal entity on 12/02/2003.
Objectives:
1- Sheltering old people whose families are incapable of protecting them, or they don''t have family to protect them.
2-  Providing suitable health, social and mental care for them.
3-  Providing them with services and care at their homes and with their families.
4- Teaching the families to look after their elderly people and guiding them to the best methods of caring.
5- Training the elderly people to face the problems resulting from old age and how to cope with them.
6- Trying to make the elderly people mingle with the society each according to his abilities.
