The Qatar Cancer Society was established in 1997. Its honorary Chairman is H.H. the Heir Apparent, and its Board of Directors is presided upon by H.E. Dr. Khalid Bin Jabor Al Thani.

Objectives:
• Participating in exhibitions and local festivals.
• Organizing seminars and lectures in co-operation with governmental and educational institutions.
• Hosting experts and professionals for training and lecturing.
• Organizing scientific competitions in the field of researches and articles.
• Arranging lectures and school seminars.
• Preparing and publishing of studies, booklets, posters in Arabic & English.
• Arranging visual and audio seminars and lectures in social clubs and commercial complexes.
• Co-operation with the specialized official authorities concerned with environment, services and workforce protection in different factories and projects.
• Holding relevant educational and training courses for volunteers working for the society.
• Providing physiological support for cancer patients and their families and responding to their enquiries.
