The Permanent Peace Movement (PPM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to conflict resolution and limiting the use of small firearms in Lebanon and the Middle East. Its activities were initiated in 1986 by a group of university students who shared a common hatred of violence that served as the primary mode of communication amongst the Lebanese during the civil war, PPM has developed into a team of experienced trainers who have delivered conflict resolution training in Cyprus, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Yemen and Lebanon.
Mission and goals:
1- To draw man's attention on his rights up to international human rights charter (convention)
2- To draw man's attention on his duties:
A- Concerning his Dwon self as a man (to improve his physical and spiritual education).
B- Towards his family- (family charge - for the family is the basic element in society)
C- Towards his brother man (to be righteous, elements and conscious in dealing with others)
D- Towards his fat herland- (civil education - Preservotin of Fradition Preser vatin of the environment)
3- To facilitate man's action through opening various ways to progress and do according to his will and possibilities and opportunities.
4- To lighten the burdens and sufferings of man through his contribution with sther human institutions which procede in the same field.
5- Cooperation with the different local and international instituions doing for peace sake and social progress.
6- To have a partner ship with special institutions to set up and execute Development plans in all fields, taking into consideration the human and the natural possibilities of the country and up to the righteous understanding.

In order to fulfill the declared goals, the PPM provides the right atmosphere for its members reaching his awself, according to principles forged on fraternity, love and cooperatin. For that aim, it affer to that precise adherent the following:
1- Increase their habits and achieve good results and practice advantageous hobbies that can not be done individually.
2- Make new acquaintances.
3- Widen their knowledge in various topics.
4- To be tolerant and understanding to others, hence for to be committed to the concept of Peace.
5- Develop a sense of awareness and responsibility within society.
6- Participating in the construction of a modern society guided by peace and security.
