With eighteen hundred (1800) literacy centres operating throughout the country so far, LITERATE PAKISTAN is already making it possible for organisations and individuals to benefit over 92,050 learners in their areas. Over seven thousand and one hundred(7100) teachers have also been trained for forty districts in Pakistan. LITERATE PAKISTAN monitors the largest network of Literacy Programme ever launched by any social enterprise in Pakistan.
During the last three years, since its inception, LITERATE PAKISTAN has grown at an amazing pace. From Karachi to Khyber, on behalf of its client organisation LITERATE PAKISTAN has succeeded in setting up hundreds of literacy centres.
A miracle has taken place at these literacy centers: An absolutely illiterate person can now read a newspaper and write a letter after a very short period of time – JUST THREE MONTHS.
This miracle has been made possible by the four books of Jugnoo Sabaq – A course designed specifically to literate Pakistan. Jugnoo Sabaq has been developed by a team of educational psychologists equipped with the knowledge, expertise and dedication for this cause. It is now hailed as the most innovative, highly creative and scientifically educational approach in language development.
But the show has just begun. Now it’s time to involve all members of the Pakistani society into this project. For this purpose LITERATE PAKISTAN has developed this website which will highlight the importance of literacy and show the progress to date. It will also advise various organisations, business individuals, social organisations and local government officials on how to jump on the LITERATE PAKISTAN bandwagon.
