Organizational Structure

Structure

ICA Programs are driven by the needs of local communities. ICAI is also driven from the bottom up, with a General Assembly of national organizations, from both developed and developing countries, setting the overall direction for the international network.
Each national ICA is:

Registered nationally

  • Operationally, programmatically, and fiscally autonomous
  • Engaged in programs of local, national and sometimes international scope
  • An equal member within the General Assembly


The secretariat serves the network of national ICAs through

  • Support for and coordination of multi-national priority programs
  • International policy advocacy on priority issues
  • Enabling the healthy growth and development of national ICAs and the network


General Assembly
Representative of each national ICA

Board of Directors
Up to 15 members, elected by the General Assembly

Secretariat
Staff implementing programs to achieve strategic objectives set out by the General Assembly
