-Paper/poster presentation at International Conferences on Developing Strategies for Prevention of HIV Transmission from Mother to Child Transmission held in Vancouver, Canada and Washington DC, USA
-Poster presentation at second and fourth International Conference on anti-retroviral therapy in the management of HIV Infection held in UK, 1998 and 2000.
-Published several articles of public interest in all the leading newspapers of Pakistan
-Consultation and advisory services to various organizations for health promotion and prevention of diseases
Infection Control Society Pakistan has started a project to empower Persons Living With HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). This is known as "Tameer O-Tarqqi"-
Through this project
1) Primary Health Care facilities will be provided to PLWHA and their families
2) Skills buiolding trainings in trades and small businesses will be provided to PLWHA and their famiuly members
3) Assistance will be provided to trained PLWHA and family members to make them economically self sufficient. Thjey will be assisted in getting Soft loans and donations to set up small businesses.
The project is partially supported by a grant from Pakistan National AIDS Consortium (PNAC)- which is assisted by Interact Worldwide.
