Projects & Programs  

The Fund provides technical assistance to African countries through four main channels.

Experts

Such as doctors, teachers, university professors, maritime pilots, engineers, accountants, planners, postal services experts, computer engineers, mass media professionals, social and rural development specialists, were sent to African countries.
The Fund covers the salaries of the experts as well as their travelling expenses.

Scholarships

The Arab Fund provides scholarships in the Arab universities, institutes and academies. In doing so it bears all the studying and travelling expenses which include a round trip ticket for the student from his country to the Arab State where he will study, book fees, medical care, and living expenses.

Training Courses

The Fund co-operates with some of the Arab and regional organisations and financial institutions in sharing expenses of these programs, which include the round trip tickets for the trainees,their accommodation, training fees and per diem.
The Fund has conducted many training programs in the fields of statistics, civil aviation, energy, water resources, tourism, desertification and draught.

Technical studies

• The Fund prepares technical studies in different fields, including the field of economic development, upon the demand of the African countries. The Fund also provides the African countries with feasibility studies that they need in order to develop their countries.
  Objectives  
      The Objective of the Fund is to provide technical assistance to African countries in the different fields of economic and scientific development. Such objectives are achieved as follows:
• Co-ordinating and financing the programs of technical assistance offered by the General Secretariat and the specialized institutions.
• Preparing comprehensive studies on development projects in the African countries and providing means for their implementation.
• Offering consultancy services, providing experts and organizing their exchange between Arab and African countries.
•  Co-ordinating the efforts of the African and Arab countries in scientific and technological development and improve their means and methods of production.
•  Establishing Afro-Arab co-operation in new fields of development.
  Developing technical and administrative skills by providing training programs and scholarships.
• Co-operating and co-ordinating with African, Arab and international organizations active in the field of development and technical assistance.
  Promoting Arab investments in African projects.
