The Fund Rules  

    Submission of a request for technical assistance to the Fund : The Fund receives requests for technical assistance from the African governments. These are considered by the Executive Secretariat after the data included in the forms prepared for this purpose is fulfilled.
    The Executive Secretariat submits the request for technical assistance to the Fund’s Board of Directors for decision.
Once the Board of Directors approves the request for technical assistance, the Executive Secretariat takes the measures for implementation and concludes with the beneficiary country an agreement of technical cooperation clarifying the type of technical assistance that is offered, its expenses, the Fund’s commitments and the pledges of the beneficiary country.

   Renewal of the technical assistance offered : If the beneficiary country wishes to renew the technical assistance it has received for another period, the concerned country will present a new request to the Fund which will then be submitted to the Board of Directors for a renewed decision, upon which a new agreement for technical cooperation is concluded.
