The “ Kavafia 2009” is a conference held in co-operation with the Greek Cultural Center in Cairo, the Greek communities of Cairo and Alexandria and Alex Med from the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Greek Cultural Foundation in Alexandria. This biennial celebration honours the memory and works of the great Alexandrian poet Konstantinos Kavafis.
