Agence France-Presse is looking for a dynamic and highly-motivated photo editor to work at its Middle East headquarters, based in Nicosia, Cyprus, on a one-year, renewable contract. Editors follow-up coverage requests for clients across the globe, choose and transmit pictures against international deadlines and tough competition, and work on a variety of stories including news, sports, arts and entertainment.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic, possess a working knowledge of French, hold a degree in journalism or have professional journalism experience, be computer savvy, Photoshop literate, and command a strong knowledge base of the region's politics. Strong verbal communications skills are essential, as well as a good work ethic and the ability to multi-task.
