Publication Program
Article 5 of the Articles of Association of Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, stated that the Foundation is aimed at providing all possible charities and public amenities, including the support of writing, translation and publication efforts.
Since its establishment, the Foundation was committed to these purposes through its contribution and support of the efforts to introduce the true message, literature and heritage of Islam. The foundation printed, bought and published many Islamic books in general, and the Quran and its explanation in various languages in particular. The foundation also focuses on books dealing with all fields of knowledge, including human, health and educational sciences as well as management, economics, etc. the matter which has enriched the Foundation's library with major books and references.
Introduction to the Publication Program
The Foundation management raised certain proposals to the Board of Trustees concerning publications as set out in the Foundations Articles of Association. Through its meetings since 1994, the Board of Trustees agreed to the support and distribution of many books and explanations of the Holy Quran. In its ninth meeting dated 12 May 1997, the Board of Trustees decided to assign the management to draft the Publications Regulation which includes defining the types and priority of publications, the method of choosing books and researches and the management of the scheme. The regulation was first implemented in 1998 following its approval by the board of trustees, and upon a decision by the General Manager to form the Publications Committee which is authorized to manage the scheme under the Permanent Schemes Division.
