The 5th Global YES Summit - Rework the World
Join 2000 entrepreneurs, innovators and leaders in Sweden in June to "Rework the World"
The 5th Global YES Summit - Rework the World
On 2-5 June 2010, two thousand changemakers from around the world are coming to Leksand, Sweden to shape new ways of working, by creating new business models, new partnerships and new investment opportunities!
Given the problems facing our world today these challenges compel us to rethink and rework what we do with our time on this planet.
The Global Summit will bring together the best ventures from around the world - those that can speed up the change towards a sustainable society and create new employment opportunities. They will meet the global capital, corporations and decision-makers, to help them go from visions to scalable impact. The aim is both to inspire and increase knowledge, and also to showcase and take forward new and innovative solutions that create jobs that are socially, ecologically and economically sustainable.
For four days, the small Swedish town of Leksand will be swarming with young motivated entrepreneurs and engaged experienced leaders who want to help accelerate the transformation toward real sustainable change. In dedicated “reworkshops”, promising ventures will be presented and receive support in taking the next steps. In “rethinking” sessions, open conversations about creativity, financial models and policy reforms will take place.
In plenary sessions, the latest science and most exciting experiences will be shared. On the final day of the Summit, the most promising sustainable and scalable ventures will participate in the investment forum and present their business concepts to a panel of investors and advisors and 2000 potential partners.
The 5th Global YES Summit – “Rework the World” is a joint initiative of YES Inc, an international network represented in more than 55 developing countries with a focus on youth, entrepreneurship and sustainability, the Tällberg Foundation, which for 30 years has gathered top leaders in discussions about more effective system solutions to global challenges and LSU, the National Council of Swedish Youth Organization. The Summit is funded by contributions from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Svenska Postkodlotteriet and other partners.
